Search and Rescue

At 1144 hours on Saturday 11/7/15, the Gumboro Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched for a fallen persons call. Rescue 79-6 went responding in just two minutes under the command of 79-15 Marc DeFelice. 79-6 arrived on scene, along with A-79, Utility 79-10 and Medic 102, to discover that a hunter had fallen out of his tree stand over a mile into the woods. The crews decided to take Utility 79-10,along with another hunter and his 4-wheeler, into the woods to locate the patient. After quick thinking by all, as well as a lot of navigating, the crews were able to locate the patient and transport him to a near by field where Trooper 2 was waiting.
