Structure Fire

On February 5th at 1859 hours, stations 79, 83, and 73 were alerted for a structure fire at Carey's Estates. Engine 79-1 went responding after only three minutes under the command of Deputy Chief Brian Smith. 79-1 arrived on scene and reported a single family dwelling with smoke showing from the exterior. The first in crew made entry through the front door and found a wood stove that had started a fire through the floor and had moved underneath of the trailer. Crews from Gumboro, Millsboro, and Dagsboro worked for approximately 90 minutes before being placed available. Responding units includes: Engine 79-1, Tanker 79-3, Tanker 79-5, Rescue 79-6, B-79, TC-79, 83-2, 83-4, Tanker 83, 73-1, 73-3, Rescue 73, Tanker 73, Medic 103, and FM 11.
